FC Halifax Town face FC United of Manchester this Saturday as they continue their National League North play-off push under Billy Heath.
The Shaymen came from behind to beat Gainsborough Trinity 2-1 on Tuesday night and will be hoping to add to their points tally with another win this weekend.
Halifax have also recently signed Joel Logan on loan from Guiseley until the end of the season, and the midfielder will be available for Saturday’s clash.
Striker, Tom Denton spoke to ElWriteBack about Town’s play-off chances: “It’s as tight as it has been in the last three seasons in the North, two wins could see you in second place but two defeats could see you in eighth!
“Anything other than the plays-offs would be a failure this season!”
When asked about what promotion would mean for the club the former North Ferriby man said: “Halifax are a huge club, something of a sleeping giant so a return to the National League would be great for everyone both the players and the fans.
“It won’t be easy and we will be giving it everything to make sure we are in the mix!”
Finally, Denton turned to this Saturday’s fixture saying: “Every game is the biggest of the season from now on, so that’s what Saturday is.
“It will be difficult but these are the games that we need to win if we are to go up!”
Halifax have a total of eight games remaining on their schedule for the season and will be hoping to pick up points to add to their promotion bid.
