Rangers player Rob Kiernan could face a possible two-match ban for violent conduct during a match against St Johnstone when the defender clashed with Steven Anderson.
The clash occurred during Rangers and St Johnstone’s 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
St Johnstone’s captain, Steven Anderson claimed that he was punched in the ribs by former Wigan defender, Rob Kiernan.
Rangers boss, Mark Warburton defended his player by saying: “There’s nothing in that, I’ve watched it again – it’s a push.”
The accused defender has until 4th January 2017 to respond which makes him available for Saturday’s derby against Celtic.
