Former Lincoln City fan favourite, Ben Tomlinson is unlikely to play for Barnet FC again this season following a club statement earlier today.
Ben Tomlinson joined Barnet in May 2015 on a two-year deal following a successful two year spell with National League side, Lincoln City.
The 27-year-old scored a total of 32 goals in 87 appearances for Lincoln City, making him a prime target for any Football League side.
Tomlinson will have to undergo surgery following a ruptured quadricep injury, this has ruled him out for the rest of the season as he is unlikely to return to the Barnet squad in a match fit condition.
The former Alfreton forward has spent time on loan at Grimsby Town, Tranmere Rovers and most recently Barrow A.F.C since joining The Bees in 2015.
Former team mate, Delano Sam-Yorke tweeted Tomlinson regarding the injury earlier today.
With a number of departures at The Hive Stadium today, Barnet fans will be pleased to hear that Harry Taylor, James Pearson and Jamal Campbell-Ryce are all showing positive progress as they aim to return to the first team following injuries.
