Journeyman, Kyle Russell has spoken exclusively to ElWriteBack about what his plans for 2017 are. 

The talented footballer has recently returned to England following an impressive spell with Santa Lucia Falcons in Malta.

Injury didn’t stop Kyle Russell’s determination and he is looking forward to 2017.

In a recent interview with ElWriteBack the former Birmingham City trialist said: “At the moment I am training smart and mentally preparing for Staines Town FC in January 2017.

“I’m eating very well and I can already see the outcome.”

Staines Town’s first fixture of 2017 will be against Grays Athletic in the Ryman Premier on 2nd January.

The Swans are currently ninth in the Ryman Premier division with 31 points to their name from 25 games.

With just five points separating them from fourth place Dulwich Hamlet, all is still to play for as the Christmas period gets well under way.

Kyle Russell has played all over the world and is looking forward to spending time with Staines Town FC.

Russell went on to comment on his personal feelings for the new year saying: “2017… I can already guarantee is a successful year for me and football.

“I’m a man of faith, I have seen it before, it has happened.

“When it happens, I won’t be in shock. What I’m saying might sound strange to many people but it will soon all reveal itself.”

Kyle Russell enjoyed his time in Malta and Gozo.
