Mauricio Pochettino has announced that he has no concern that Tottenham Hotspur frontman, Harry Kane is yet to sign a new contract.
Kane’s current deal expires in 2020 and it is reported that he is currently earning £50,000 a week.
The England international has been on Spurs’ books as a professional since 2009 where he has gone on to play 89 league games whilst scoring 52 league goals.
Tottenham’s top earner is reported to be goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris who is said to be on £80,000 a week.
Lloris also reportedly entered contract talks earlier this year alongside Kane but both players are yet to strike a deal.
Talking to the press, Mauricio Pochettino said: “Maybe there are a lot of rumours that can affect our fans but the fans need to have no worries because the players show their commitment to the club – they want to be here for the long term.”
Tottenham face West Ham on Saturday with Erik Lamela, Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld all remaining sidelined. The trio are set to return to full fitness for December’s fixtures.
Vincent Janssen, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Dele Alli are also concerns but with minor issues which could see them fit for Saturday’s game.
Alli will take part in a late fitness test following a knock to his knee.
