With Malta facing England at Wembley this afternoon, defender Zach Muscat has spoken exclusively to ElWriteBack about his side’s World Cup Qualifier.
The fullback moved to Italy earlier this year where he currently plays for U.S. Arezzo.
Malta previously faced Scotland in September as they started their World Cup Qualifying campaign. This fixture resulted in a 5-1 defeat for Pietro Ghedin’s side.
When questioned about the way Ghedin will line up, Muscat said, “The starting line up is left to the coach until the final moments.
“We will use a defensive tactic which allows us to exploit errors and take advantage of episodes which may favour us.”
The Maltese fullback commented on the opposition playing under a new manager saying, “With their professional status and lifestyle I don’t believe that they will be affected by the news floating around the team.
“We will be prepared for England at their 100%.”
