Tottenham Hotspur’s highly rated midfielder, Harry Winks has signed a new five-year deal with the North London based club.
Winks has worked his way up through the Tottenham Hotspur youth system in a similar way to that of Harry Kane, Ryan Mason, and Nabil Bentaleb.
The young midfielder made his Premier League debut against Liverpool earlier this season, four years after joining Spurs.
Joshua Onomah and Winks are both regarded as two talents for the future of Tottenham after being included in the Spurs first team setup.
After being capped at U17, U18, U19 and U20 level for England, Winks has been included on the Spurs bench for three of their four opening league fixtures.
With the UEFA Champions League underway, Mauricio Pochettino may start to introduce Winks into his starting XI in other competitions such as the FA Cup and EFL Cup.
The midfielder faces tough competition from the likes of Dele Alli, Moussa Dembele, and Victor Wanyama, therefore playing time in England’s domestic competitions will be a huge boost to Winks’ development.
