Aston Villa Player of the Year Award cancelled

Aston Villa have decided to cancel this year’s Player of the Year Awards as they face relegation out of the Premier League.

Villa’s relegation will be confirmed if Norwich avoid a home loss by Sunderland on Saturday.

The Birmingham based club have sacked two managers this season, Tim Sherwood in October and his successor, Remi Garde, last month.

The Villans’ current caretaker manager, Eric Black, was unable to secure a victory at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Regarding the cancellation of the awards, a club spokesperson said, “In the current circumstances, we are sure our supporters will understand.”
