The Nottingham born winger joined Lincoln City permanently during the January transfer window after a successful loan spell.
Hawkridge made over 60 appearances for The Iron during his three-year spell.
Lincoln City winger Terry Hawkridge insisted the side would have to change nothing major in order to gain promotion in the 2016/17 season if it is not achieved this year.
The former Iron said, “We have a great squad but we just need to work on the mistakes we’ve made. We need to hold on to the games where we’ve dropped points but we are a very good side.”
Lincoln are currently 10th in the Vanarama National League, five points off a Play-off place.
When questioned about City’s promotion chances Hawkridge said, “We are still in there very much up until the last game, we will fight for the club and promotion!”
City were held to an away draw against Macclesfield on Saturday. James McCombe gave The Imps the lead after 18 minutes.
Macclesfield struck back in the second half, when on loan midfielder, Danny Whitehead scored from the edge of the box.
The 26-year-old declared his passion for the club saying, “It’s a very good club looking to go places. There’s good staff and it’s a good team I wanted to be apart of.”
Lincoln travel south to face Play-off chasing rivals, Dover on Tuesday night. The side will need to gain a vital three points if they want to keep their promotion chances alive.
