York City secured a 2-1 home victory over Notts County at the weekend.
County forward Jon Stead hit the bar in the early stages of the game before York’s Michael Coulon lobbed Roy Carroll from 15 yards to open the scoring.
Former Spurs youngster, Kenny McEvoy played a cross to Bradley Fewster, who doubled York’s lead from close range.
County received a consolation goal as Lubo Satka’s back pass ended up in his own team’s net.
Defender, Thierry Audel commented on the game saying, “we missed few opportunities and the opposite team scored the first opportunity they had in the game, that made the difference.
“I think that it was important to leave the York game behind to prepare for the fixture against Hartlepool.
“Every game is different so it’s important to arrive with serenity and the right focus.”
The French defender went onto comment on his former club, Lincoln City saying, “Lincoln City are having an alright season so far. Lincoln are a good club where I had a good time so I wish them to go as high as they can this season.
“There is not a lot of difference between League Two and the Conference, but I can say that the technique and quality is a bit better.”
Finally, Audel went on to to provide advice for Chris Moyses and his Lincoln side.
“Always keep focused as the last couple of games of the season can make a difference if there is a chance to go up.”
