I speak to Barnet’s Shaun Batt and find out about his new team mates at The Hive.
Shaun Batt started his career off at Stevenage Borough but after a move to Fisher Athletic from Dagenham & Redbridge in 2007 his career started to get better and better. The striker made over 30 appearances in the Conference South during his first season as an Athletic player.
He signed for Peterborough United in 2008 and went onto make over 50 appearances before being sent on loan to Millwall in 2010, where he signed permanently on a three-year deal in June 2010. He was plagued with knee injuries which put his Millwall career on hold but after a long wait Batt played his first Millwall game in January 2012.
Batt was sent on loan to Crawley in 2012 and then Leyton Orient in 2013 to gain first team experience.
Batt was released by Millwall in June 2013. The striker was immediately snapped up by former side, Leyton Orient where he signed a two-year contract. The English forward scored his first hat-trick as Orient beat Gillingham 3-1 in The Football League Trophy in September 2013. Again, Injury struck the striker at the wrong time and he was sidelined for four months on Boxing Day 2013.
Following two-years at Leyton Orient the striker moved to Barnet in 2015 during the summer transfer window where he signed a two-year deal.
