Slea Paddlers are a family friendly canoe and kayak club based in Sleaford. They are open to any age from 8 to 80. The club was founded in 2005 by a group of friends who met through Scouts and RAF postings. 10 years later and there are currently 50 members within the club. Slea Paddlers meet at Kirkstead Bridge on a fortnightly basis in the summer whilst holding pool sessions through the winter. All equipment is provided in the session fee if needed. The club offers coaching in both canoeing and kayaking with their friendly qualified coaches.
A number of river trips and club events take place over the course of each year. This includes the annual beach day and surf competition which is a fun family day out for even those who aren’t paddlers. Slea Paddlers will hold their 5th annual Come and try day on the Saturday 23rd May 2015, 10am until 16pm. This will be located near The Hub at Eastgate car park, Sleaford.
