Mamadou Fofana (also known as Mo Fofana) is a 26-year-old French midfielder. He made 49 appearances for Lincoln City, scoring one goal. He has also has successful spells at French sides CS Sedan, Olympique Noisy-le-Sec and La Vitréenne FC, before he was seen to be playing in Sweden for Syrianska. Since being released by Lincoln City, Fofana has signed for Conference North side, Oxford City. How are you finding English football? MF: English football is very physical. There is a high intensity in the game.
What differences do you notice between English and French football? MF: The difference between French and English football is that in France the football is a lot more technical and tactical where as in England it is more physical and quicker.
Who did you support growing up? MF: PSG, But also my parents as they helped me a lot when I was young, they supported me.
Who was your favourite player? MF: My favourite players are Xavi and Yaya Touré.
If you weren’t a footballer what job would you have? MF: I would of liked to have been a physio.
How are you finding Oxford? MF: Oxford City are a very good club with very good players and also very good staff. The local people are also very nice people.
