LIONS BACK IN TRAINING FOLLOWING HEAVY DEFEAT – METHERINGHAM PREVIEW

The Head Coach confirmed there are no injury concerns apart from left winger, Angus Marr, heading into the local derby against Metheringham at The Meg Sport Centre on Sunday.

“Everyone is fit apart from Angus, we will have to monitor his fitness throughout the week and see how he feels on Sunday – this is important for the side and then I must pick the players for Sunday lunch” said Yarwood after training on Wednesday.

He also added “It’s a challenge for me to select the squad which we will take to their place but that’s a good problem to have as it proves our squad is rich in depth.”

Metheringham go into Sundays game with just one win in eleven games and find themselves in last place of the Mid Lincs U17’S B League. Whereas Ruskington Lions come off a 8-0 defeat to local rivals Pointon Juniors. Yarwoods men will be looking into bouncing back from such a humiliating result.
